• Degree / Diploma in Commerce or Business
• Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience required in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to build a successful team and partnerships with clients.
• Ability to provide guidance to the sales team.
• Ability to delegate work effectively and follow-up.

Role Responibilities:

• Assist in the administration of the annual operating budget. Effectively control and utilize manpower through planning, organizing scheduling to minimize loss time.
• Work within capital and operating expense budgets.
• Plan direct and evaluate the activities of Freight Sales department
• Establish organizational policies and procedures in relation to sales
• Determine strategic planning related to new accounts
• Lead sales team in building relationships with business clients and manage negotiations of sales contracts
• Recruit, organize, train and manage staff
• Work toward increasing productivity by reducing miles and improved equipment utilization, reduce fuel costs, vehicle maintenance costs, insurance costs, roadside vehicle inspections and reduce labour costs.
• Select, train, develop and provide a positive growth environment for the transportation team. Encourage, motivate, coach and maintain positive relationships with transportation staff.
• Work closely with Sales team to ensure that special customer requests are met.
• Resolve customer issues and complaints.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
