Job Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is mandatory. Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field will be an asset to have
- 1-2 years of full-time experience as bookkeeper or accounting clerk is required. Experience in transportation or logistics industry will be preferred, but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills in written and oral English
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel
- Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Analyzing Information, Dealing with Complexity, Reporting Research Results, Data

Job Description
Acme Transport is a provider of multiple truckload transportation services. Established in 2011, we are now one of North America’s largest carriers with operating terminals extending across Western Canada & the Continental US. We need one full- time, permanent Bookkeeper to join their team as soon as possible.

Job Duties
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping tasks such as preparing invoices, A/R, A/P, payroll and deposits
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls for company employees, supplier invoices, government remittances as well as other expenditures using relevant software
- Maintain company's financial records and recording day to day financial transactions
- Reconcile receipts and manage budgets, payroll and deposits
- Reconcile orders taken with the receipts
- Tally receipts with the inventory and adjust the budget accordingly
- Manage payments and receivables from other companies
- Prepare deposit slips after reconciling payment received
- Maintaining the trial balances, profit and loss statements and balance sheet
- Managing accounts payable and receivables, reconciling bank statements
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management, if required
- Prepare tax returns and perform other bookkeeping services
